Strongly Recommend Dr. Kornfeld - An Exceptional Chiropractor

Several years ago I was training for the Boston Marathon. A week before the race I developed severe low back pain. Walking was painful, and running was out of the question. I was truly “bummed out.” I contacted Dr. Kornfeld and he saw me immediately. After a thorough examination, he started treatment and worked on me on consecutive days. After obtaining some relief, he advised me on ways to avoid further stress on my back. He even suggested ways to prevent pain during the bus ride out to Hopkington for the start of the marathon. After an intensive week of treatment, I was much improved. I was ecstatic to get to the starting line of the race that day and even more thrilled to finish the race free of back pain. I would strongly recommend Dr. Kornfeld – he is an exceptional chiropractor and a very caring individual.

I Strongly Endorse Chiropractic Treatment Not Only for Pain Relief But Also for Living a Healthier Lifestyle

I was on Route 128 going to work when a large pick up truck struck my car. I had severe neck pain, low back pain and a headache. I went directly to my primary doctor who prescribed flexeril, ibuprofen and vicodan. I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. The pills didn’t help and I didn’t need orthopedic surgery. I couldn’t work. My pain was at an 8-9 on a scale of 1-10. I couldn’t sit or stand for more than 30 minutes. I went to Dr. Kornfeld who performed a very thorough examination- more thorough than the M.D.’s. He also did X-rays in his office. On the second visit he showed me a short DVD that showed what happens to your body in a traumatic accident and how chiropractic manages these injuries. He then explained to me what a normal X-ray looks like and then he showed me my X-rays so I could see the difference. Chiropractic treatment was effective but activities of daily living such as getting out of bed or doing dishes were aggravating my condition. Dr. Kornfeld showed me the correct way to perform these activities to reduce stress on my spine and I began to improve faster. As I continued to improve I was taught specific spinal exercises to stretch and strengthen my spine and to reduce the chances of a flare up. I strongly endorse chiropractic treatment not only for pain relief but also for living a healthier lifestyle.

Thanks to Dr. Kornfeld I Was Able to Return to Lacrosse

I was the goalie in a high school championship soccer game with my team leading 1-0. There was a shot on goal that I was about to save when BAM! an oncoming forward slams his chest into my right knee. My knee instantly swelled up into the size of a soccer ball and I was in excruciating pain. I sat on the sidelines as I watched my team suffer a 3-2 heartbreaking loss. I went to the ER where they gave me a 3 foot long soft cast, crutches and motrin. Two weeks later I was sill in pain, limping around on crutches and I had virtually no movement in my leg. I finally listened to my friend Harry, who referred me to his father, Dr. Kornfeld. After examining me, he gave me a treatment and I had movement in my leg. I walked out of his office on my own without the cast and without the crutches! After two weeks of treatment I was able to return for the final 2 games of my lacrosse season where I also play goalie. Thanks to Dr. Kornfeld I was able to get back on the field and secure an athletic scholarship for college in September.

Best Decision to See Dr. Kornfeld - He Listened and Showed More Concern Than Any Other Doctor I Saw

I began having low back and hip pain about 20 years ago after I was rear-ended in a car accident. After a hospital visit I was given tylenol with codeine and put on 3 days bed rest. My back improved but it has always bothered me on and off. If I “over did it” the ache would come back and the pain would be at a 6-7 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst possible pain. I especially had trouble sitting or by bending. I was always leery of chiropractors because of negative opinions from various sources. One day I decided to go to Dr. Kornfeld and see for myself what chiropractic was all about. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made. Dr. Kornfeld listened and showed more concern than any other doctor I saw. He always found the exact spot that hurt. He gave me valuable information on proper sitting, bending, lifting and exercise in order to protect my back. He never makes you come in when not necessary. However if I felt I needed to see him he made sure that I got an appointment right away. I recommend him highly to my family and friends. When my sister flew in from California she was in severe pain from her flight. I suggested Dr. Kornfeld to her. She was able to come in immediately. After a few days of therapy she was better and able to enjoy her visit. She has never forgotten his kindness and expertise.
